A CAR was destroyed by fire in Flintshire, it has been confirmed.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at around 1.15pm on Tuesday reporting a vehicle ablaze just off the A55 at Halkyn.
One crew from Deeside attended the scene and used a hose reel jet, one set of breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
A spokesman confirmed this afternoon that the incident resulted in 100 per cent fire damage to the car.
The cause is "unknown but believed to be accidental," the spokesman added.
