A FLINTSHIRE animal rescue centre is appealing to the public to find four beautiful dogs their forever home.
Almost Home Dog Rescue, based in Mold, provides a safe haven for abandoned dogs before uniting them with their new home and owner.
It also aims to support and educate the next generation of dog owners to prevent an increase in the number of pets being neglected.
Anyone interested in the following dogs should fill out the adoption form here.
Meet Ember
Ember is a greyhound who’s been rescued from the greyhound industry. She's five years old and has raced 105 times in total. It’s definitely this girls turn to have a normal life which is filled with love and relaxing!
She's been a sweetheart with everyone she’s met so far. Ember walks well on a lead and allows anyone in to her kennel. She's a confident girl who enjoys her walks and her zoomies.
Ember is good in the car and happy to be handled. At the vets, she said hi to everyone and was adoring the attention. She's passed a full healthcheck and has been booked in to be spayed. Ember is mircochipped, flead/wormed and vaccinated.
We feel this girl will really enjoy normal life as she loves being with people and doing whatever they are. She adores the paddock and sunbathing and has also allowed Almost Home to groom her too.
Meet Judy
Judy has found herself in our care at eight months old due to her owner realising she couldn’t meet her needs and it was best for Judy. She really deserves an adventure filled life.
Sadly, this is Judy’s third rehoming movement but none of it being her fault. She is a spaniel cross who’s typical of the breed. Full of life, character, energy and brains.
This girl went straight in to foster where she has been a super star. She's extremely switched on and full of life. Judy is picking up general obedience quickly and her lead manners are improving.
She's also passed a full healthcheck, started her vaccinations and is booked in to be spayed. Judy was a star at the vets, making everyone fall in love with her!
Currently she’s in foster with another dog and doing very well. We feel she would benefit from having another dog in her life to learn from.
Meet Robin
This boy has been rescued from the racing industry and is now getting used to normal life. He is enjoying relaxing and is decompressing.
Robin is five years old in June and has had 50 races. His last race only being a few weeks ago. So far, he has been quite shy but is starting to feel comfortable and relaxing nicely.
He's enjoying his walks and loves to have a good sniff in the country lanes. Equally he adores his big comfy bed.
Robin is a good eater and looks forward to meal times, after food he likes a good snooze and a little bit of sunbathing! This boy is going to love his chill time with his humans.
At the vets, he was a good boy. He weighs 27kg and is now booked in to be neutered. Robin is mircochipped, flead/wormed and vaccinated.
Once this lad has fully decompressed, he will be a complete love bug. He is desperate to bond with his own family and have a place to call home!
Meet Beau
This girl is amazing, again a stray that was unclaimed. She is only 2.5 years old and is a sweetheart.
Beau is good on a lead and has been fab around other dogs. She has been great around people too. She will allow anyone in her kennel and adores a fuss.

She is going to be a fab adventure partner for someone who has the time for a husky. She is a bit underweight and needs to gain some confidence but this will come with time. She’s already improving!
She loves company and would benefit from someone around a lot of the time. At the vets, she was a good girl who’s passed her healthcheck. Beau has now started her vaccinations, and booked into be spayed.
She currently weighs 19kg and needs to gain around 5kg. Beau will make someone a fab addition to their home. She’s everything a young, healthy dog should be.
