An award-winning and luxurious spa between Wrexham and  Chester has been named a finalist in two categories in this year’s Good Spa Guide Awards: Best Hotel Spa and Best Spa for Sustainability.

The Spa at Carden is one of the main features at the Carden Park Estate, located on Broxton Road. In recent years the venue has seen visitors such as the I'm a Celebrity stars from the 2020 series, the Sweden women's football team and Love Island couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

Voting is open now for the public to show their support and the winner will announced at the award ceremony on Monday, June 24.

Widely acknowledged as a beacon of excellence within the UK spa industry, the Good Spa Guide sets the gold standard for quality, innovation and service. Finalists in the Good Spa Guide are judged by a ‘Spa Spy’ who visits the hotel and spa before the winners are decided by public vote.

Since its opening in January 2020, the Spa at Carden has held the five-bubble luxury spa rating and has since received a wealth of awards. The spa has become the premier hotel spa in the UK, offering unparalleled facilities and experiences akin to those found in global resorts.

Nestled within the Cheshire countryside and spanning 1,000 acres, the Carden Park Estate offers a number of amenities including two championship golf courses, 197 rooms, The Vines fine dining restaurant, private vineyard and a sculpture garden curated by Grant Ford, an expert from BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.

The spa has a strong connection to nature. This ethos is evident throughout the spa, from treatments to architecture, therapist training, renewable energy utilisation and locally sourced ingredients in its menus.

For instance, herbs and produce used in treatments and dining can be sourced directly from the onsite garden, while the bar is stocked with wine produced from the vineyard.

The spa experience encompasses a 'nature reset' journey, including outdoor hot tubs, a vitality pool with panoramic countryside views, a sauna boasting floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a Bollinger bar for year-round enjoyment. Other amenities include heated outdoor pods, a fire pit, bio and Finnish saunas, a salt steam room, aroma steam room, indoor vitality pool, and 14 treatment rooms.
