LENGTHY queues have formed outside a recycling centre in Flintshire today (Thursday, May 9) as reduced opening hours come into effect.
Images shared on social media show cars backed up outside the Household Recycling Centre (HRC) on Globe Way in Buckley.
On Monday, changes to opening hours at Flintshire's HRCs came into effect - with them reducing from being open seven days a week down to five.
The recycling centre in Buckley is now closed on Tuesday's and Wednesday's.
The council said the decision was taken in light of the budget position and has been put forward to reduce costs while also preserving jobs.
People have been taking to social media to state that they waited for over 45 minutes hour to access the Buckley site, describing the queues as "huge".
One person said: "Bit of road rage going on too because vehicles are trying to get to the businesses beyond the tip."
Flintshire Council has been approached for comment on the matter.
