A CHARITY race day returns to Wrexham later this year, in support of a special riding centre.
Clwyd Special Riding Centre's (CSRC) fundraising race day takes place on Friday, September 6, at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, and is the final fixture of the summer season at the course.
CSRC, located in Llanfynydd, between Mold and Wrexham, is an independent charity that provides life-changing equine assisted therapy activities to children and adults with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs, including mental health and wellbeing.

To support the charity, racegoers can book their hospitality marquee, with fine dining, the chance of winning on a race or two and an auction and raffle, or racing fans can sponsor a race.
In 2022, when Princess Anne attended the event, CSRC raised more than £44,700. This year, they would love to reach £50,000.
CSRC trustee, Kate Hill-Trevor, said: "A day at the races is a special occasion and the charity is delighted to be hosting another fundraising event at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse.

"We have lots of opportunities for companies and individuals to get involved, covering a range of budgets. For anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply wanting to raise their company profile locally, sponsoring a race is a unique way to do so, and you would be supporting a great cause at the same time. We are also looking for sponsorship of other elements of the day and companies to advertise in the Racecard which will be seen by all racegoers.
"To increase the excitement and enjoyment, we will be holding an auction and raffle on the day. We would love to hear from you if there is an item or experience you could donate to raise further funds for this amazing charity.

"If you would like to come along for a fun day out, then book your tickets now through Clwyd Special Riding Centre, and enjoy a two-course lunch in our hospitality marquee; in the knowledge you are helping this wonderful charity to continue to fulfil the belief of their founder Anne Sopwith that 'helping one person may not change the world, but it may change the world for that one person'."
