A MEMBER of a band from Wrexham featured on Channel 4's 'The Piano' this weekend.
Now in it's second series, The Piano sees Claudia Winkleman meet talented pianists at train stations across the country, before they played to passers-by while the show’s judges, pop star Mika and Chinese pianist Lang Lang, secretly watched on.
The first series, which aired last year culminated in a concert at the Royal Festival Hall featuring performances from Lang Lang, Mika and the four chosen finalists.
The programme has been extended from five episodes to seven for its second series, which started last week.
In the series second episode which aired on Sunday (May 5), Katie Macgregor from Wrexham band Igloo Hearts featured.
Katie, a member of the band, wowed the audience during the Cardiff heats, filmed at Cardiff train station just before Christmas.
Among the spectators were Claudia Winkleman, Mika, and Lang Lang, along with commuters passing through the station.

A spokesperson from Igloo Hearts said: "Katie's extensive classical piano background, including her Grade 8 distinction at 16, infuses Igloo Heart's music with depth and emotion.
"Their compositions explore themes of heartbreak, struggles with IVF, and the unique bond shared by married couple Katie and James, as they create and perform music together.
"Having graced esteemed venues such as The Liverpool Philharmonic and the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, Igloo Hearts will also be performing at the upcoming Focus Wales festival in Wrexham (May 9th – 11th) and St Mary's Church in Chester this July.
"Mika himself praised Katie's ability to convey emotions through her music, noting that she can express what words cannot."
