Bolesworth Castle is set to host a hot air balloon attraction that is going to be launched this summer.
The exhilarating spectacle will be part of the much-anticipated Bolesworth International Equestrian Summer Festival, taking place from June 6-16.
Coming on the heels of the successful Cheshire Balloon Fiesta in 2023 in the 6,000-acre Tattenhall estate, close to Chester and Wrexham, Bolesworth has added the thrill-seeking activity to its programme for the weekend of June 14-16.
The forthcoming schedule promises to be action-packed, with more than 20 balloon launches.
Also included are 'Meet the Pilot' and 'Basket and Burners' sessions and breath-taking night glow demonstrations that will illuminate the evening sky.
Launches and Night Glows are also anticipated on the nights of Friday and Saturday, June 14-15.
The views are expected to be delightful from the Live Music Stage.
For the early birds among campers, there will be morning flights on Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16.
As the final preparations are made by Managing Director Nina Barbour and her team for the equestrian and lifestyle festival – sponsored by the globally famous Al Shira’aa stables, tickets are already going fast for what might be their most significant event yet.
Ms Barbour said, "We are absolutely delighted to have secured the hot air balloons for the final weekend of this summer’s Bolesworth International.
"They are always very popular with the crowds here so introducing them to what’s already a stellar series of activities and attractions will go down – or up!– very well with visitors."
The festival will be hosting some of the best names in international show-jumping, celebrity and VIP guests, family entertainment, dog-friendly activities, ringside hospitality and more.
Entertainment will also feature music stars performing live on Friday and Saturday, June 14-15, including electronic duo Phats and Small.
Rick Parfitt Jr and the RPJ Band, and the Ultimate Party Mixtape Set with 80s party group, Coyote, are also scheduled.
More acts will be announced in due course.
