THE Waverley will soon be returning to Llandudno and tickets are selling fast.

The  Paddle Steamer Waverley will return to North Wales from Monday, June 24 until Wednesday, June 26 after the "resounding" success of her sailings in 2023.

This time, for the first time this century, the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer will set sail from Holyhead. 

Talking about ticket sales, Samuel Brown, Marketing Manager at Waverley Excursions Ltd, told the Pioneer and its coastal titles, said: "We're thrilled with the ticket sales for the North Wales sailings so far and are very much looking forward to the ships return in June. 

"Currently, there are limited tickets remaining for the cruises departing from Holyhead on Monday, June 24 or from Llandudno on Monday June 24 and Tuesday June 25.

"Tickets for Wednesday, June 26 are now sold out."

Earlier this year, Samuel commented: "This year's timetable brings an exciting announcement as Waverley is set to sail from Holyhead for the first time this century on Monday June 24, offering passengers an opportunity to view the picturesque North Anglesey coast and the historic village of Moelfre.

"The timetable also features three opportunities for locals to step aboard at Llandudno Pier for three afternoon cruises."

During Waverley’s 2023 season, the vessel was awarded Gold status from 'Visit Wales'. This was in recognition of the quality of the ship’s facilities and the visitor experience offered.

In June 2023, the Waverley made two sold out trips from Llandudno Pier. The first was round the Great Orme and Puffin Island and the second was around the Anglesey Coast.

It was the first time the Waverley had set sail from Llandudno Pier in five years.
