Fire crews are likely to remain at Mold's Synthite plant for the rest for the rest of the day, it has been confirmed.
Crews were called to the site shortly after 2pm on Tuesday (April 30).
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent four crews, the Incident Command Unit, the Hazardous Material Unit and the aerial ladder platform to incident in the production area of the facility.
North Wales Police also closed a stretch of the A541 Denbigh Road near the site, and urged nearby residents and businesses to keep windows and doors closed.
Just before 8am this morning (Wednesday, May 1) a spokesman for the service told The Leader two fire engines remain at the scene.
Also at the scene are an aerial ladder platform and two foam carrier units.
Crews continue to "monitor for any flare-ups" and will "likely be there for the day at least."
