A MAN has been banned after getting behind the wheel whilst unfit to do so through drugs.

Niall Mccallum, of Dee Road in Connah's Quay, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.

The 33-year-old admitted that on December 17 last year, he drove a Mercedes motor vehicle on Station Road in Queensferry whilst unfit to drive through drugs.

Prosecutor Rhian Jackson told the court that on the day of the offence, police were on patrol in an unmarked vehicle in Garden City.

Their attention was drawn to Mccallum's vehicle as he pulled out from a side junction at speed.
