A WOMAN who seriously hurt two people by driving dangerously is to be sentenced.
The Leader reported in November how Keira Ridler, then of Marlborough Road in Ellesmere Port but now of Hampson Avenue in Wrexham, admitted two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Those offences took place on September 19, 2021, in Flint, when she had been driving a Nissan Juke in Sunningdale Close.
Ellie Blower and Christopher Rakeshaw were the injured parties.
Ridler's case was once again brought back to Mold Crown Court on Friday, when Ryan Rothwell confirmed on behalf of the prosecution that the CPS took no issue with the defendant's basis of plea and a trial of issue would not be required.
As such, he invited the court to set a sentencing date, which Judge Rhys Rowlands recorded as June 5.
Ridler's defending barrister, Richard Dawson, told the court at the previous occasion his 25-year-old client is "a person of previous good character and a young mother."
The defendant received an interim driving ban at the last hearing - and she was warned on that occasion that she faces a "real prospect" of immediate jail time.
