A FLOOD alert is currently in place for Wrexham and surrounding areas due to high river levels on the Dee.
The alert, which affects the lower Dee catchment area from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows, was issued this morning (Sunday, April 7).
Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected, however, this is not anticipated to affect properties.
Natural Resources Wales say they are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide further updates.
River levels on the Dee are expected to remain high over the next three days.
