A DEDICATED Wrexham woman is celebrating her 30th year teaching art classes across the county.
Margaret Roberts, 75, certainly has no plans to retire as she celebrates 30 wonderful years teaching art classes in the community.
Born and raised in Wrexham, Margaret has organised an event to thank her friends and art students for supporting her classes throughout the years.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 10 at Coleg Cambria's Iâl Restaurant - 30 years since Margaret hosted her first class on April 13, 1994.
The Mayor of Wrexham Andy Williams has received a special invitation and is thrilled to be supporting Margaret at the event, particularly as he used to attend her popular watercolour classes.
In total, Margaret hosts three art groups across Wrexham, one of which supports those who have dementia, ensuring everyone has the chance to unleash their creative side.
While her passion for art and particularly watercolour started at a young age, Margaret's skill and appreciation for the subject has only grown as the years have gone by.
One resident, Joan Brown, has been with her since day one and deserves an "extra special shoutout", says Margaret. The pair have developed a beautiful friendship and have shared many happy memories together.
"As well as my classes, I also used to teach night lessons at Coleg Cambria at the Yale Campus", Margaret continues.
"They won't let me retire but I don't mind because I love it so much and they all love coming to the groups.
"The classes go throughout the year. We have a break at Easter, summer and Christmas but that's it - so I really have worked all those years.

"This event is my thank you to everyone who has been with me over the years. We've had such joy in the class and the friendships over the years have been incredible."
As well as ordering a personalised cake for the event, Margaret has made a photo board to showcase "all the happy times we've had together" over the decades.
After starting out in Garden Village Institute on Kenyon Avenue, classes are now held every Wednesday morning in St Margaret's Church and Community Hall on Chester Road.
