POLICE have warned "robust action" will be taken against off-road bikes being ridden illegally in Deeside.
North Wales Police's North Flintshire team said it has received reports of off-road bikes being ridden on Dock Road in Connah's Quay and the railway bridge at Hawarden Bridge, near Shotton.
Flintshire North officers will be increasing patrols in those areas and are working with with partners to take "positive" action against those identified.
Sgt Dave Smith said: “Off-road bikes are a blight on our roads and public spaces. Riders are putting themselves and members of the community at risk of serious harm.

"Off-road bikes can only be used on private land with the land owners permission. For clarification, the land owners of the old power station site and Flintshire County Council do not give permission for off road bikes to be ridden on their land.
"Robust action will be taken against those found riding them on our roads and any spaces where they do not have the land owner’s permission."
He added: "If you have any information to help us identify those that are riding off road bikes in the Flintshire area please report on 101 or on our website. This is a community issue and we need to work together to make our area safer. Thank you.”
