A CANCER support group in Wrexham is celebrating achieving a members milestone.
The Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group now has over 100 members, with monthly meetings taking place in Marford.
The group has been fundraising for years in an attempt to secure £60,000 towards specialist equipment at the Maelor Hospital.
After achieving that goal late last year, the focus shifted to the next target with fundraising plans ongoing.
The support group meets on the first Wednesday of each month, with the next meeting taking place tomorrow (April 3) at the Trevor Arms, Marford at 7pm.
They have a host of events coming up throughout the year including a classic car show, a charity bike ride to John O'Groats and many more.
Group secretary Phil Jones said: "With all of the media hype recently about how important it is to get checked out, we will have three senior members from the Urology department who will be urging men who already suffer with symptoms to join us.
