A BEAUTIFULLY handmade post box topper has been stolen from the Flintshire area leaving the community in uproar.
A special Easter-themed postbox topper has been reported stolen from the Hawarden Post Office Village Store in Flintshire.
Hawarden residents will be familiar with the talents of Pauline Scutt - who creates the various post box toppers seen outside Hawarden Post Office.
It has become a much-loved community tradition for special events and holidays to place a topper outside the post office building.
Owner and postmaster of Hawarden Post Office Village Store Mark Rogers said: "It saddens me to report that someone or some people have stolen our wonderful Easter post box topper from outside Hawarden Post Office.
"Pauline Scutt who gives up her own time and money to make these for the community is also devastated to see that someone has done this."
Community outrage has been expressed on social media following the incident.
One individual said: "This is disgraceful, whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves.
