A CRASH on the A55 this morning (March 20) resulted in one person being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic Wales had initially reported the incident, which took place at Rhuallt Hill, at 7.40am.
They added that their traffic officers attended the scene and advised drivers to 'pass with care'.
An update posted nearly an hour later (8.30am) added that lane one had been closed and that congestion was now 'extending' towards junction 31 at Caerwys, Flintshire.
Now, North Wales Police - who were also in attendance - have confirmed that the collision involved two vehicles.

A spokesperson added that one person has been taken to hospital with 'serious injuries'.
They said: "We were called at 7.36am this morning to report a two-vehicle collision on the westbound side of the A55 at Rhuallt Hill, St Asaph.
"One lane was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident which resulted in one person being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The lane was reopened shortly after 9.30am."
