CONGESTION has been building along the A55 this morning (March 20) following reports of a collision.
Traffic Wales initially reported the incident at Rhuallt Hill at 7.40am.
They added that their traffic officers were on route and advised drivers to 'pass with care'.
An update posted nearly an hour later (8.30am) added that lane one had been closed and that congestion was now 'extending' towards junction 31 at Caerwys, Flintshire.

An AA live traffic update added: "Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident on A55 North Wales Expressway Westbound from J29 (Pant-Y-Dulath) to J28 (Rhuallt / Waen). Lane one (Of two) is closed."
North Wales Police, who are also at the scene, added: "Please be aware that Rhuallt Hill West bound will be down to one lane temporarily whilst officers deal with an incident."
Traffic Wales confirmed that the incident had been cleared as of 9.40am, with lane one re-opened.
