A DEVOTED Wrexham AFC fan who has just turned 100 years old received a special gift from the football club over the weekend.
Life-long Reds fan Arthur Massey celebrated the milestone on Thursday (March 14).
Fans of the club will recognise him for featuring in the docuseries 'Welcome to Wrexham' and met His Majesty the King, during his visit to Wrexham in December, 2022.
Both of the club's famous owners - Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds paid tribute to Mr Massey via X (formerly Twitter) as he celebrated the milestone.
Rob said: "Happy 100th Arthur!!! Let’s celebrate 101 in League 1!!! That seems poetic to me."
Ryan added: "Congratulations, Arthur! 100 is the new 98! Happy Birthday, young man."

And if that wasn't enough, Mr Massey was also handed a very special gift from Wrexham AFC themselves.
Ahead of the match v Tranmere Rovers at the STok Cae Ras on Saturday, March 16, he was presented with a framed shirt design signed by the team.
That also featured the number '100' on the back in recognition of him reaching the incredible milestone.

The match itself sadly ended in a 1-0 defeat for Wrexham - but nevertheless it was a day to remember for Mr Massey and his family.
His daughter Julie Birrell said: "Dad’s had a fantastic day today, surrounded by the love from the Wrexham family. Thank you to everyone who stopped to wish him Happy 100th Birthday."
As well as being a loyal Wrexham fan, Mr Massey has been a dedicated volunteer for the Royal British Legion's annual poppy appeal.
He is a distinguished Second World War veteran, serving as a sapper in the Burma Campaign in South East Asia.
