CHESTER Zoo is set to star in a new BBC television series next week.
The Zoo will feature in episode two of Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr, on Tuesday, March 19.
The hour-long programme will see nine designers attempt to create three activity centres for schoolchildren themed around the wildlife of Brazil, India and Madagascar.
Each must add fun elements to their designs to teach 5 to 16-year-olds about the Zoo’s conservation projects, before judges Michelle Ogundehin and Sophie Robinson decide which team has created a ‘Stand-Out Space’ and which designer will be going home.

The show is into its fifth series, with the team having transformed the interiors of everything from listed buildings, grand villas, flats and hair salons from Margate to Manchester.
The Zoo is no stranger to the small screen, having previously featured in several programmes including the popular Channel 4 series The Secret Life of the Zoo.
Alan and Co’s visit will be shown from 8pm on Tuesday, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer shortly after.
