THE WREXHAM AFC manager has paid a special visit to a mural illustrated by a talented local artist.
Earlier this month, artist Liam Stokes-Massey revealed the final mural of enthusiastic Wrexham AFC football manager Phil 'Parky' Parkinson.
Requested by landlord Wayne Jones the fantastic illustration located at the famous Turf pub has caught the eyes of many - and has now been visited by the gaffer himself.
After posing for a photo with Liam, Parky signed the artwork which pays tribute to his dedication to the club.
Phil Parkinson became manager back in July 2021 before guiding the team to its League Two promotion in April 2023 following 15 frustrating years out of the football league.
Throughout Phil’s management, he’s worked alongside co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney featuring in the hit docuseries 'Welcome to Wrexham.’
The project, titled 'The Boss', is also extra special being painted on a fence outside the Turf pub next to the Stok Cae Ras on Mold Road, a prime location for local and international fans visiting the Racecourse.
Liam said: "Phil Parkinson was good enough to stop by The Turf mural today. Happy to say he approved and signed it!
