THE Leader Education Awards 2024 recognised the outstanding achievements of pupils, teachers and support staff in schools across Wrexham and Flintshire.
The awards ceremony took place on March 14 at The Village Hotel, St David's in Ewloe, hosted by ITV Wales presenter Andrea Byrne.
Over 160 guests attended made up of shortlisted teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, pupils as well as their proud family members.
It was a brilliant night for all involved, marking the second edition of the Leader Education Awards.
Susan Perry, Regional Editor, North Wales, then thanked the nominees for all their hard work and dedication.
She added: "I thought last year couldn't' be topped, but here we are.
"A big thanks has to go to our hosts and sponsors, without you this wouldn't be possible.
"The response we've had to these awards has been amazing and inspiring."

"In this room are people who go above and beyond in their work and inspire the younger generation.
Claire Pierce, Leader community content editor, said: "I wish everyone got the chance to hear what each of our winners had to say.

"An incredibly emotional night, with a special highlight being the pupil awards. These young people prove that the efforts in schools are worth it.
"Simply a fantastic celebration of those who go above and beyond, despite increased difficulties facing education."
The winners for the 13 categories were:
- Primary School Pupil of the Year: David Puskepalis
- Primary Teacher of the Year: Rhiannon Loney, Borras Park CP
- Primary School of the Year: Ysgol Mynydd Isa, Flintshire
- Secondary School Pupil of the Year: Cady Oakley and Elliot Woodchurch
- Secondary School Teacher of the Year: Christopher Lewis, Rhosnesi High, Wrexham
- Secondary School of the Year: Argoed High School, Flintshire
- Early Years Education Award: Rossett House Nursery
- Support Worker of the Year: Mr Kevin Whitehead, Rhosnesni
- Teaching Assistant Award: Jo Jackson- Wyatt, Ysgol Bryn Gwalia, Mold
- Wellbeing Award: Helen Jones, Ysgol Plas Coch
- Best Professional Leader: Lorraine Dalton, Ysgol Bryn Gwalia, Mold
- Specialist Provision School of the Year: Ysgol Maes Hyfryd, Flint
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Alyson Davies
