A HISTORIC Wrexham church has announced it will be closing next month.
St James' Church on Rhosddu Road in Rhosddu is closing after being part of the community for nearly 150-years.
In an announcement post shared on Facebook it was confirmed the final service will take place on Sunday, April 21 at 11am.
A church spokesperson said: "We are very sad to have to let you know that St James' Church will be closing next month.
"We have been privileged to be part of the community of Rhosddu for nearly 150-years, and are very grateful for all that our community has contributed to the life of St James' over many decades.
"We'd love to have as many people as possible to visit the church before we close.

"Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for details of services (11.00am each Sunday, with a couple of extra services over the Easter weekend)."
The church announced there will also be an opportunity to visit informally at their 'Open Church' event on Saturday, April 6 at 10am until 2pm.
Everyone is welcome to join, light a candle, share memories or just look around. There will also be refreshments on offer.
