THE ROADS in Flintshire where the most parking tickets were handed out last year have been revealed.
A Freedom of Information request made to Flintshire Council revealed the top 10 roads where the most parking tickets were handed out in 2023.
The figures reveal that Mold is where motorists are most likely to be ticketed, with the three highest all being roads in the town.
The figures are as follows:
1. Earl Road, Mold- 239
2. Grosvenor Street, Mold- 205
3. High Street, Mold-136
4. Mold Road, Buckey- 92
5. High Street, Holywell- 65
6. Chester Road West, Shotton- 50
7. Pierce Street, Queensferry- 44
8. Salisbury Street, Shotton- 37
9. Wrexham Street, Mold- 36
10. Chester Street, Flint. Service Access to the rear of the shops- 35

Penalty Charge Notices are issued when drivers break parking regulations, such as by parking on double yellow lines or on a single yellow line at a prohibited time.
A spokesperson for the Local Government Association, who represent councils in England and Wales, said: “Income raised through on-street parking charges and parking fines is spent on running parking services.
"Any surplus is spent on essential transport projects, including fixing the £11 billion road repairs backlog, reducing congestion, tackling poor air quality and supporting local bus services."
