WREXHAM Council has announce its second Sheltered Housing Refurbishment Llys y Mynydd in Rhos is now complete.
The council’s housing department has communicated with the previous contract holders throughout the process and have welcomed them back to their new home.
Following the completion, Wrexham Council has also accommodated some new contract holders here, who will now have a modernised home which is perfect for independent living.
The refurbishment programme includes improving the size and accessibility of the apartments and remodelling to provide maximised space and comfort.
A large priority for the schemes is to provide warm and energy efficient homes, therefore triple glazed windows and air source heat pumps have been consistently installed.
Councillor David A Bithell, lead member for housing, said: “The Sheltered Housing refurbishment is progressing well and we are pleased to have completed our second refurbishment.
"We have received positive feedback about the works from the new and returning contract holders.
“This is an exciting time for housing as we continue to progress with the next refurbishments in two other schemes which have been approved as part of our capital budget.

In the meantime, Wrexham Council has recently appointed Read Construction to carry out the refurbishment of our fourth scheme at Wisteria Court, Wrexham.
