A POPULAR Wrexham establishment has received yet another outstanding award by Dee Valley Campaign for Real Ale 'CAMRA'.
The Magic Dragon Brewery Tap has been named 'Dee Valley Pub of the Year' for 2024 following on from their success last year.
Not only did the establishment receive North Wales Pub of the Year in 2023, the venue was also named Welsh Pub of the Year.
According to CAMRA, the competition helps to showcase quality pubs around the UK that are worth seeking out and visiting as well as enjoying a pint of real ale, or even real cider or perry.
The Magic Dragon Pub opened four-years-ago on Charles Street in Wrexham with current manager Dave Salisbury taking over two and a half years ago.
The brewery specialises in cask ale and craft beer traditionally produced in their micro-brewery at the Plassey Holiday Park, both owned by Richard and Liz Lever who have also just opened a second bar in Whitchurch named the Crafty Dragon.
Dave said: "We also won the award last year and went on to win CAMRA pub of Wales which we were all absolutely delighted with so we're really happy to carry on in the same vein this year.
"We can't thank the members of CAMRA that have made this decision enough. We work hard as a team and try our best to keep our ales in the best possible condition.
"We hope the venue continues to be a friendly and welcoming place for everyone to enjoy."

The Dee Valley branch of CAMRA was established in the summer of 2023 following a CAMRA decision to restructure branches that crossed national borders.
The organisation sends 'mystery customers' to establishments before grading the pub.
While Magic Dragon has secured the Dee Valley award this time, the pub remains eager to claim the North Wales title which will be revealed later this year.
