AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a suspected hit and run involving a pedestrian near a primary school.
North Wales Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident which occurred in the Rhewl area of Mostyn on February 19.
Police said it occurred on an unnamed road near Bryn Pennant primary school.
A spokesperson said: "At around 5pm on February 19, we received a report that a man had been hit from behind by an oncoming vehicle when walking on a country lane. The car did not stop following the collision.
"The car is described as being a silver or grey metallic people-carrier type of car and is believed to have travelled in the direction of the A55 or A458 in the Mostyn area."
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was travelling in the area and may have seen or have dashcam footage of a car fitting this description, is asked to contact North Wales Police via its website or by calling 101, quoting reference 24000187328.
