A FLINTSHIRE pub under new ownership is on track to be open for Easter.
The Cheshire based company bought the site from North West brewer Daniel Thwaites with plans for a ‘careful renovation’ before relaunch, planned for early 2024.
On St David's Day (March 1), the pub posted an exciting update.
In a statement, they said: "So things are ramping up and everything is coming together nicely. Builders have pretty much finished, just some snagging to sort. All our products have been selected and ordered. We’ve even started moving furniture in.
"We so very close, and we can’t wait to share the pub with you.
"We promise our booking system will be live soon and we’re on track to be open for Easter!
"Next step - staff training!"
Presently closed, the Druid, said to date back to the 12th century, has been a popular village local and dining pub for several years.

Born in Bangor and educated in Colwyn Bay, 67-year-old Mr Brunning has strong links with the region and its pubs sector; his father owned the Royal Hotel in Capel Curig, now the Plas y Brenin outdoor centre, while his aunt, Ellaline Bunney, ran the West Arms hotel in Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog for 40 years.
The pub has recruited a head chef who is working with the executive head chef to develop the menu.
Ray Faulder-Jones has also been welcomed to Pubs Limited; Ray, general manager, has been tasked to meet drink suppliers.
The pub posted on Facebook last month: "We’ve now recruited a full front of house team who are chomping at the bit to get going, after a lot of training of course.
"It really won’t be long until we are able to welcome you all back to try our amazing food and drink in an amazing environment."
