THE PRINCE of Wales has visited a Wrexham school today as part of his trip to the city in honour of St. David's Day.
His Royal Highness visited Ysgol Yr Holl/All Saint's School in Gresford following a visit to The Turf pub and Wrexham AFC.
At the school, Prince William engaged with the St. David's Day celebrations and listened to the great work the pupils have been carrying out to learn about Welsh history and culture.
The Prince of Wales met with pupils who are taking part in activities including Dawnsio Gerin - traditional Welsh folk dancing - and baking Bara Brith, a Welsh tea bread flavoured with dried fruits and spices.
His Royal Highness was eager to put an apron on and help the students in the kitchen.
The Prince then met with pupils who have made it through to the UK Finals of the Formula Schools competition which sees students across the UK creating their own version of the F1 team, with each member taking on different roles such as designing the car, manufacturing, branding or becoming the Team Principle.
Students Hayden Hughes, Alfie Lynch and Charlie Harding proudly told His Royal Highness about their project, showing him their chosen design and how they worked together to create their vision.
The Prince of Wales then joined a classroom during a lesson in which they were learning about the history of the Gresford Mining Disaster and the impact this had on Wrexham and the surrounding areas.
He gladly joined four eager students who in turn explained the devastating impact the disaster had on the people and community.

The Prince of Wales is paying a visit to the Gresford Colliery Memorial himself following his visit to the school, and his final in engagement in Wrexham today.
Following a group photo where Prince William asked students about their costume designs for St. David's Day, he received a beautiful bouquet of flowers and three red Welsh dragons for each of his children, George, Charlotte and Louis.
All Saint's School is one of four stops the Prince of Wales is making during his visit to Wrexham.
That will be the second Royal visit to Wrexham in the space of less than two years, with King Charles III having visited back in December 2022 to celebrate Wrexham's city status.
