FLINTSHIRE residents are being encouraged to share their best images for the chance to feature in an upcoming exhibition.

Flint Town Council is seeking the best images of the Flint castle and coast to feature in an exhibition later this year.

As part of the 'Off Flint' project, the council wants residents and keen creatives to show just how special the town is.

Anyone is welcome to go out into the community and take photos. These might be of your favourite view or perhaps a hidden detail that is often overlooked.

They must be sent to the Community Heritage Officer along with a photography form.

Flint Town Council is also keen to hear the story behind the photo; what made you take it and why is it special to you?

The photos will be displayed in the final 'Off Flint' Exhibition in Flint Library during June and July this year, and will be added to the digital kiosk as a permanent reminder.

'Off Flint' is an exciting project that involves local people in recording, conserving and celebrating the rich heritage of Flint town, castle and coast.

Stories, photos and artefacts gathered during the project will form the basis of a new community archive in Flint Library so that the information gathered is widely accessible to everyone.
