FIREFIGHTERS have been called to an incident at a leisure centre in Wrexham this evening (Monday, February 26).
Two fire engines from Wrexham attended a "minor electrical fault" incident at Gwyn Evans Leisure Centre in Gwersyllt.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called just after 6pm due to an electrical panel overheating.
The leisure centre was evacuated as a precaution while the fire service dealt with the incident. A stop was called on the incident at 7.15pm.
Gwyn Evans Leisure Centre took to its Facebook page to state: "We are really sorry but we have had to make the decision to close tonight. We will update on our social media when we plan to open."
