A NUMBER of food and drink establishments in Flintshire and Wrexham are up for national awards. 

The shortlist for the Food Wales Awards 2024 has been announced, honouring the top culinary destinations in Wales while recognising the hard work and efforts of those committed to always providing the country with the freshest of products and amazing delights.

They will also showcase the best restaurants, takeaways, pubs, hotel restaurants, cafes and bistros, as well as those who help us explore new flavours and cuisines from different cultures.

  • The White Bear (Mancot) - Gastro Pub of the Year (North)
  • Green Peas & Love Pop Up Phop (Connah's Quay) - Caterer of the Year
  • Lisbon Tapas (Wrexham) - Best Mediterranean Establishment
  • Up a Yard (Holywell) - Best World Cuisine
  • Deadwood Smokehouse (Mold) - Best World Cuisine
  • Harvest Vegetarian Kitchen (Wrexham) - Best Vegetarian Establishment
  • Cravin' (Mold) - Dessert Outlet of the Year
  • Cravin' (Mold) - Retail Bakery of the Year
  • Asia Sensation (Mold) - Best Asian Food Establishment
  • Hungry Cow (Mold) - Best Burger Restaurant 
  • Just Steak (Mold) - Steak Restaurant of the Year
