A Flint Coastguard spokesperson said: "Along with our colleagues from Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team and Llandudno Coastguard, a search plan was formulated which saw coastguard rescue officers searching the coastal areas from the Blue Bridge in Rhyl, all the way to Talacre Beach.
"Whilst we were our searching the beaches and dune areas, our friends at RNLI Rhyl, RNLI Llandudno Lifeboat and RNLI Hoylake Lifeboat Station were out searching the seas for any signs of the missing person."
They added: "Thankfully, as morning broke on Friday, the casualty was spotted by RNLI boat crews walking along the beach. The casualty was picked up by the Coastguard Rescue 936 Helicopter and taken to hospital for precautionary checks."
If you ever suspect someone’s in trouble at the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
