THOSE working in the wedding industry across Wrexham and Flintshire, have celebrated a big day of their own.
The region has produced several winners at the Welsh Wedding Awards 2024, presented by Creative Oceanic powered by Oceanic Events.
These awards aim to recognise and reward those within the wedding industry that work towards making a couple's big day as perfect as possible, including caterers, venue decorators and florists, all who help make any wedding flourish.
The black-tie ceremony in Cardiff saw top specialists and businesses gathered to celebrate their achievements at the sixth annual event.
Nikki Pearce, from Vivaldi Flowers in Buckley, who won Florist of the Year (North), said: "We are so thankful to all who voted for Vivaldi Flowers to allow us to pick up the award for Best Florist (North) for the second year running. We had high competition with 10 of the best florists being in the category for best wedding florist.
"We are super chuffed to bring it home for the second year running. A great event organised by Creative Oceanic. Team Vivaldi would like to thank everybody who supported us, to bring the trophy home."
Taking the title of Romantic Wedding Venue of the Year, for the third year in a row, was Rossett Hall Hotel, in Wrexham.
Food and beverage manager at the venue, Diane Jones said: "It's great news, it's just fantastic for the hotel. I always say we must be doing something right.
"We think 'is it going to happen again, will we win this year?' and we did."
Cheryl Gaulton, of Jammy Jam Cakes in Deeside, took home Cake Designer of the Year (North).
She said: "I've been a graphic designer by trade for 25 years and for almost 11 years I have been running award-winning Jammy Jam Cakes alongside my full-time job.
"In August I left my job to finally take on my cake business full-time and it's been non-stop.
"It gets very busy and doing all the admin, designs, quotes, baking and caking is hard work for one person but its also so rewarding when the cakes and cupcakes go out the door with my client and they love the final product.

"So to be nominated and then win the award is a huge boost to the business and shows recognition for all that hard work. I am so very proud of what's been achieved in almost 11years."
Wrexham proved to be the place for couples to celebrate, with Llay Miners Welfare Institute winning Wedding Venue of the Year (North).
Also celebrating is Flintshire photographer Stacey Oliver, who was highly commended in the Photographer of the Year category.
The wedding photographer, from Sealand, is off to a great 2024, having already made the top five of the The Guild of Photographers Image of the Month Competition, out of 13,000 worldwide entrants.
Stacey said: "Being a part of a couple's big day is an absolute privilege and it's an honour to capture heart-warming moments and immortalise life-long memories. To be recognised for doing what is my passion really is the icing on the cake."
A spokesperson for the Welsh Wedding Awards 2024 said: "It was another fantastic night as we celebrated the continued growth of the Welsh wedding industry.
"It was the most competitive year so far for finalists and everyone who attended was among the elite of the sector, continuing to go above and beyond for their clients.
"We would like to congratulate all of our winners and highly commended recipients on their accomplishments."
