THE POPULAR annual Potato Day is returning to Mold once again and you won't want to miss out!

With over 80 different varieties of seed potatoes, key facts about each type, the chance to talk to the experts and, importantly, buy as large or as small a quantity as you require - there's something for everyone.

If you like to grow your own produce or fancy giving it a try this year, Mold Potato Day is the place to go.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 17 at the Daniel Owen Centre from 9am until 1pm and admission is free.

It is once again being jointly organised by local community growing group FlintShare, with Brighter Blooms nursery in Preston providing the produce.

As well as seed potatoes there will also be onion sets, garlic, vegetable seed and plants, herbs, soft fruit and fruit trees for sale. You can pre-order your requirements if you wish and collect them on the day.

At the Mold event the potatoes can be bought in small quantities of 1kg nets, so if you’d like to try more than one variety - now’s your chance.

The potatoes will be laid out in crates on tables in the centre and will be split up to make it easier to find what you’re looking for.

There is usually a selection of organically grown potato varieties as well. All the varieties have a description label and a picture on them to help you decide which ones to grow this year.
