A NEW unique business launching in Wrexham has finally confirmed its opening date.
'Retrograde Wrexham' promises to deliver a fantastic arcade cafe in Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre after transforming Unit 12, the former Greggs building.
Owners Charles Hughes, 31, and Kyle Oliver, 28, will be offering a combination of delicious food and classic games, the first of its kind in the area.
Customers have been patiently awaiting the business launch and now the pair has confirmed doors will open on Saturday, February 3.
Until then, the cafe is holding an 'early access' opportunity for customers to sample the menu until all machines are fully up and running.
The business will feature a selection of arcade games and consoles for customers to enjoy alongside a soon to be released menu which will include homemade pizza, coffee, milkshakes and Boba tea.
Kyle said the pair have been 'super busy' at the unit getting everything ready for the Wrexham cafe to launch this week.
He said: "I’m honoured and cannot thank enough for the support from friends and family to get operational, most especially the team and neighbours at Eagles Meadow for such a warm welcome. Andy Williams, Mayor of Wrexham for the advice and feedback on pizza cooking when he visited us the previous week, Sean and Sioned at Igam Ogam for offering training on equipment we bought for upcoming bubble tea drinks, and Andreas from Adams and Russell in Birkenhead, who took the time to host a coffee tasting session and visit us after installation to make sure the machines are dialled in.
"Everyone who knows Charlie fondly will know his dream was having his own cafe, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it with him."
