A MAIN road in Wrexham was blocked this evening by a fallen tree.
Chester Road, close to the Price's Lane roundabout,was blocked by the tree from around 8pm. Latest reports state that the tree has now been cleared and the road has reopened.
A Yellow wind warning remains in place until tomorrow afternoon as Storm Jocelyn batters the UK.
Strong winds are expected to continue overnight. The Met Office has warned people to expect:
- Some roads and bridges may close, often blocked by fallen trees and other debris.
- Some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen
- Power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- Any remaining recovery efforts off the back of Storm Isha are likely to be hampered.
- Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible
