A GROUP of friends will be hosting a 'Zumbathon' to raise money to support an 'inspirational' woman currently battling cancer.
The event will be in aid of Ceri Boden - a wife and mother of two who is currently battling terminal cancer.
Ceri, from Connah's Quay, has previously already beaten breast cancer once, but recently received that second devastating diagnosis.
Deeside residents, alongside Ceri's family and friends, have been raising funds for treatment for her that is currently only available in Germany.
As part of that fundraising, a group of friends are set to host a Zumbathon at the Civic Hall in Connah's Quay on Friday, January 26.
Friend Eve Stockley, who is taking part in the event, said: "We are holding a Zumbathon to raise some much needed funds for a very strong and inspirational woman, Ceri Boden."

She added: "The Zumbathon is being facilitated by the legendary Netty Hodson, the Zumba queen herself. Netty has gifted her time and efforts and friends of Ceri would like to thank her and the Civic Hall who have donated the space.
"There are still some places left, and what we can guarantee is a fun night, raising much needed funds for a very special lady.
"When your world is shaken, love and support comes flooding through. Thanks to everyone for all the support!"
Tickets to the event (£10) are still available to buy by sending money via PayPal to fox_20@hotmail.co.uk (along with your name as a reference).
Anyone wishing to support the Zumbathon in other aspects should contact Eve on 07789 636310.
All proceeds will be donated to the Ceri Boden's Treatment Fund.
