WREXHAM'S inspirational MMA fighter Aaron Aby is set to return to the OKTAGON stage.
The 33-year-old will return to action in Newcastle on January 27 to face American starlet Christopher Daniel.
Aby, who last fought in the inaugural Flyweight title in Manchester against Elias Garcia, sustained a nasty gash in the fight and was stopped by the doctor as it worsened.
The Wrexham AFC fan is one of the most inspiring MMA fighters currently competing, having defied doctors who said he would not even make the age of 16 due to his cystic fibrosis diagnosis.

He was then diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2017 and Wrexham AFC star Ollie Palmer described Aby as "inspirational".
In 2022 he was nominated for an MMA 'fighting spirit' award for his amazing courage and fortitude.
Prior to fighting, he represented Wales' age grade sides at football and played alongside Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen.
His opponent Daniel, (9-3-1) is a combat jiu-jitsu champion with an equally inspiring backstory.
The Florida-native was just 24 years of age when he tragically lost his first-born son and overcame depression to kickstart his MMA career. He fights in memory of his son.
