DECLAN Swans are playing a concert in aid of a brave young Wrexham girl who is battling Leukemia.

Seirian Richards, from Llwyneinion, near Rhos, was diagnosed with the disease in October 2022, aged just 7.

She is now halfway through her treatment, which involves intensive chemotherapy. January 2025 is the planned end date of treatment and the community continues to rally in support of Seirian.

On Friday, February 16, the world-famous Declan Swans are playing a gig at the Hafod Colliery Club in Rhos. They are being joined by talented Wrexham artist, Luke Gallagher, and proceeds are going towards Seirian's family at this difficult time.

Seirian's family said: "It's been a tough journey so far, one of the drugs used as treatment caused Seirian to have a stroke - which she recovered well from. Some of the chemotherapy wasn't bringing the cancer cells well enough under control, so Seirian was able to have cutting edge immunotherapy, which is a gentler treatment and the future of treating children with cancer.

"Seiriain is a smiling, funny and courageous young girl who shows the true meaning of what it is to show strength.

"Treatment has thrown all sorts of challenges at her, but whether it's needing a wheelchair, learning to live with permanent chest lines or re-learning words after the stroke, this amazing eight-year-old takes it all on."
