COASTGUARD teams and police have been spotted at an incident in Flintshire this morning (January 1).
Just ten hours or so into the new year, teams from Rhyl and Flint Coastguard teams were on hand to assist North Wales Police at Bagillt.
It is as yet unclear what took place but Rhyl Coastguard say the incident was 'swiftly resolved' by all involved.
They added that a 'coastguard' was 'deployed' into the water for an 'immediate rescue' at around 10.12am.
A statement read: "10hrs into the New Year and the Team were scrambled to provide support to Flint Coastguard Rescue Team and North Wales Police/ NWP North Flintshire with an incident in the Flintshire area."

It added: "The incident was swiftly resolved by our colleagues at Flint CRT following deploying a Coastguard into the water to effect an immediate rescue. In a coastal emergency dial 999 and request the Coastguard."
Flint Coastguard Rescue Team added: "Today (January 1) the team brought in the New Year with a call to assist North Wales Police with an incident.
"The incident led to a Coastguard Rescue swimmer entering the water to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
"If you ever suspect someone’s in trouble at the coast, Dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard!"
North Wales Police has been approached for comment and further information about the incident.
