A SENIOR educator at a local nursery in Flintshire is celebrating 32 years of service.
Mary Rees-Williams has worked for Busy Bees, St Davids Park for 32 years and is currently the longest serving member of staff in the Busy Bees UK group, second only to its co-founder Marg Randles.
Mary is a Qualified Level 3 Senior Educator and has worked within all the rooms at the nursery on St David’s Park, looking after children from as young as three months to five years old.
Barbara Karda, Centre Director of Busy Bees St Davids Park, says: “Mary has been a consistent figure at the centre for both the children and the team, so much so that our nursery would not be the same without her.
“It is evident that she still has the same love for working with children that she had when she first joined the nursery and there will be so many lucky children who have been able to call her their ‘key person’ over the past three decades.
"We are incredibly humbled that she has chosen our setting to dedicate the majority of her working life to and we thank her for being part of our nursery family.”

Mary Rees-Williams, Senior Educator at Busy Bees St David’s Park, commented: “I can’t quite believe it has been 32 years since my very first day at the nursery. I am so proud to be celebrating this significant milestone alongside my Busy Bees family. It has been an amazing experience working in early years and watching the children grow up in our care.
“I still cherish working with children, observing their innocent nature and listening to the sweet things they say. I feel privileged to play a role in each Busy Bees child’s life and see how they change and develop into little independent people during their time with us.
"I’ve also had the pleasure of working with a fantastic team of educators over the last three decades and I’ve made so many memories here that there’s no other place I could see myself working.”
This year Busy Bees is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is now the UK’s largest childcare provider.
