A UNIQUE new business is set to open in Wrexham's City Centre featuring an arcade and cafe.
Charles Hughes, 31, and Kyle Oliver, 28, are transforming Unit 12, the former Greggs building, in Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre into an arcade cafe coming in February 2024.
'Retrograde Wrexham' promises to deliver a fantastic space providing classic games and delicious food, the first of its kind in the area.
The business will feature a selection of arcade games and consoles for customers to enjoy alongside a soon to be released menu which will include homemade pizza, coffee, milkshakes and Boba tea.
There will also be the opportunity to rent a space in the venue for celebrations and events.
Charles said: "We're very excited to be opening our own business, it's a daunting process but we've had a lot of support from friends, family and even on our social media already.
"Small businesses are integral to the high street at the moment. Larger companies are struggling to stay open due to staffing costs and rising bills but smaller/family run businesses will do very well given the right support from city shoppers.
"We're hoping to bring something new and fresh to Wrexham and are looking forward to creating a new scene and entertainment venue."

The business has already received tremendous support from local residents and fellow businesses on social media.
Claire Wright from Toast Cafe and Deli, Charles Street, said: "So pleased you’re taking the plunge" while one resident said his son would love to celebrate his birthday there once it opens.
An exact opening date will be announced in the new year along with progression updates which will be shared on their Facebook page.
