A spot in North Wales has been named among the best places to see the Northern Lights in the UK and Ireland. 

The Northern lights have been spotted in skies across Wales, the UK and Ireland at various points throughout 2023. 

For those who missed the lights, don't worry, the motoring experts at LeaseCar.uk have revealed seven locations around the UK and Ireland among the best spots to catch a glimpse as early as this winter.

The Lake District in Cumbria and Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh are two of the locations where the lights can be spotted.

While Anglesey also featured on the list of the best places to see the Northern Lights in the UK and Ireland.

North Wales locations among the best in the UK and Ireland to see the Northern Lights

Luckily for stargazers in North Wales, you don't have far to travel to see the Northern Lights with Angelsey being named among one of the best spots to catch a glimpse.

The experts at Leasecar.uk, said: "The largest island in Wales will likely host the Northern Lights over winter as they’ve been consistently on display over the last few years."

They added there were several other spots where the lights might be visible in North Wales including Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire - where they have been sighted before.
