Ex-solicitor from Flintshire jailed for frauds totalling £854,000
The Leader: Richard Hallows (NWP)Richard Hallows (NWP) (Image: North Wales Police)This fraudster didn't express any remorse for his crimes, which took place between 2016 and 2018 when he was running his own legal practice based in Mold.
A Judge said his actions had been "selfish, premeditated and undermined confidence in the profession."

Flintshire man locked up for attempted sexual communication with a child - AGAIN
The Leader: Andrew Lloyd (NWP)Andrew Lloyd (NWP) (Image: North Wales Police)This man was apprehended after a vigilante group turned up at his address following his discussions with a decoy social media account.
The court heard he'd reverted to taking cocaine and attempting to engage in conversations with young girls - which he'd done before.

Wrexham prison tutor jailed for drugs offences at HMP Berwyn
The Leader: Jason Taylor (NWP)Jason Taylor (NWP) (Image: North Wales Police)This man "stupidly" got involved in bringing illicit substances into the jail after he was approached by inmates.
His crimes were detected when an officer noticed a smell of cannabis coming from envelopes in the prison's internal mail trays.

Wrexham man locked up after police county lines drug operation

The Leader: Harry Povey (NWP)Harry Povey (NWP) (Image: North Wales Police)When police searched this man's house, cash and cocaine was found, in addition to a "Rambo-style knife."
It came after officers were investigating the "Harry Line," with a so-called graft (drug dealing) phone being controlled by the defendant in the Caia Park area.

Wrexham man strangled and pushed ex-girlfriend in her home

The Leader: Mold Law CourtsMold Law Courts (Image: Staff)This defendant had gone to the victim's home to collect some belongings, when the situation turned into a "physical fight" over her phone.
After pushing her twice, pinned her to the floor by her neck, causing her to struggle to breathe.
When the police spoke to him, the defendant denied "laying a finger on her" and said his ex-partner had "made it up."
