THE WREXHAM Supporters Trust (WST) has revealed the outcome of the vote to decide the future of the Racecourse.

Last month, WST confirmed they had agreed in principle to surrender the lease of the SToK Cae Ras to the club, subject to a vote.

The vote came following months of discussions between the parties, much to the "delight" of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.

Today (December 13) the trust board confirmed that it had agreed to surrender the lease back to the club following the outcome of the vote.

Members voted on two resolutions, one was the approval of the lease surrender and related matters and the second was the approval of the winding up of WST Assets Limited.

For resolution one, 352 members voted for, 17 voted against and four abstained, meaning a 95.4% approval.

Resolution two saw 332 members vote in favour, 23 against with 18 abstaining.

The Board said that work will continue with the necessary parties to conclude the surrender, which is expected to be completed early in the New Year.

A spokesperson added: "The Board would like to place on record our sincere thanks for the advice from our legal advisors, Taylor Wessing, and for their expert guidance regarding this matter.

"In addition, the Board recognises the important role played by the Football Supporters Association and Anthony Collins Solicitors for their advice in the amendments to the Trust Rules, and for Mi-Voice who have managed all SGM notices and voting on our behalf.
