A WREXHAM woman had a lucky escape after a rock was thrown at her car window while driving.
Laura Brunt was driving her daughter's friend home along Phoenix Drive in Brymbo during the early hours of Sunday.
"We heard this loud bang and I instantly panicked thinking is something in the road so I stopped and got out," she said.
"This is when we saw the window at the back had been smashed with a hole in it. We were very lucky the window which was smashed is right at the back of the car and it was close to the frame.
"Had the rock hit the other two windows it could have hit the passengers in the car, or on my side as the driver and that would have been a totally different story."

She added: "I feel very lucky the worst that’s happened is I need a new window. I don’t understand why anyone would want to do this because the harm they could cause can be life changing."
North Wales Police has confirmed it is investigating the incident.
A spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.27am by a member of the public reporting damage to the rear window of their vehicle whilst driving in the Phoenix Drive area of Brymbo.
"The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information that could assist us is asked to contact us via live webchat or on 101 quoting reference A193947."
