THE Member of the Senedd for Delyn, has announced the winner of her annual Christmas card competition.

The competition is open to schools in the Flintshire constituency of Hannah Blythyn and asked pupils to design a Christmas card on the theme of 'kindness and supporting one another' and, this year, 12 schools took part - more than ever before.

The overall winner was Bethan Catherine Edwards, in Year 6 at Ysgol Y Foel, Cilcain, who received cards and a framed copy of her design. Other winners from each school also received a framed copy of their design, as well as a chocolate Santa. Bethan's winning design will be used to create Hannah's Christmas cards this year and will be sent to residents, businesses and organisations across the constituency.

The competition was sponsored by Nice-Pak International in Flint, who also provided the chocolate Santas, and framed designs were provided by PG Framing Ltd in Mold.

Hannah said: "As we get closer to Christmas, one of my favourite jobs is to judge my annual Christmas card competition with local schools in Flintshire. Bethan's design was so lovely and it was clear that she spent a lot of time on it, but all this year's entries from the children were excellent - so it was a really difficult task to find an overall winner!

"My thanks to all the children who entered the competition and all the staff at the schools who made it happen, and to Nice-Pak International and PG Framing Ltd for their support."
