A STRETCH of a busy main road in Flintshire was closed amid two crashes, police said.
North Wales Police said shortly before 2pm on Monday that the A550 between the Dobshill / Dirty Mile roundabout and the roundabout at Penmynydd A5118 / A5104 was closed.
A spokesperson said it was due to two collisions having taken place and they urged people to avoid the area.
Latest traffic reports state that the road has now reopened.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (December 11) at 1.28pm to reports of a road traffic collision at Chester Road, Dobshill.
“We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene, where the crew were supported by a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit paramedic.
“One patient was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital”.
