POLICE in Flintshire are set to up patrols in the build up to Christmas following a rise in ASB.

North Wales Police's South Flintshire team confirmed that following an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour in Mold, additional patrols are set to take place.

The recent reports of ASB have taken place in and around the Llys Pont Yr Felin/Milford Street area of Mold.

A police spokesperson said: "Additional patrols will be taking place over the coming weeks, following an increase in reports of antisocial behaviour in the Llys Pont Yr Felin/Milford Street area of Mold.

"Anyone found to be involved in any kind of antisocial behaviour will be dealt with robustly"

Last month, the force said there had been a "concerning" rise in ASB in Mold and made a plea to parents to know the whereabouts of their children.

The incidents included shoplifting offences in the town centre.

Then, Sgt Kerry Nash said: "A significant number of the occurrences reported to us have been supported by CCTV from the premises involved.
